Our members of parliament are supposed to represent us, our values and our communities.
But what happens when we feel like they don't?
- What makes our MPs tick?
- What are the different ways we can bring them our concerns?
- What role can they play for us in and out of parliament?
- What do we do when they won't come to the table and how can we hold them accountable?
- How can we build relationships with our representatives so that we can trust them to act?
Organising a group of like minded citizens to bring our issues to our representative is a powerful way to make sure they listen.
In this two hour workshop we will answer these questions and introduce tactics to effectively work with our representatives.
When our representatives listen to the voices of constituents and fight for the change we wish to see, our communities are fairer and our democracy stronger.
With an election right around the corner now is the time to make sure that our MPs know that we wont stand for the divisive politics of fear, that we demand compassion and fairness in our communities.
