Join us on the streets of Banks, talking to locals about safety, fairness and freedom for people seeking asylum.
We're hitting the streets of the marginal seat of Banks to have personal conversations with voters about our shared values and the power they hold to vote for candidates who support justice and fairness for people seeking asylum.
We know these campaigns work. In the Wentworth by-election last year dozens of volunteers were out on the street to talk about the issue of safety and fairness for people seeking asylum, with the amazing result of bringing this issue to the front and centre. This pushed the Kids off Nauru campaign to become the second most prominent policy issue in that by-election, and made it clear that treating people with basic respect is a definite vote winner!
No prior experience necessary. There's a training at the beginning, and coffee and a debrief at the end.
