Hannah Laney recently organised people across the North Sydney electorate to meet with The Hon. Trent Zimmerman MP about getting us back on the #RightTrack.
The delegation of interfaith and community leaders focused their advocacy on the Government's plan to cut vital income support and trauma counselling services for thousands of people seeking asylum, including young families, through changes to SRSS eligibility.
"We had a very positive meeting with Trent about the looming crisis facing people seeking asylum due to the Minister Dutton's cuts to their vital supports. Trent listened carefully and promised to follow up with the Department. He was especially interested in hearing about the real human impacts of the cuts, based on the experiences of our group and our work in the community."
